Hello! What’s your background, and what inspired you to create NextStarterAI?
I am a developer who has been freelancing and working for various companies for about 9 years and still continues to work. What we were inspired to create Next Starter AI actually started when we realised that software developers were writing similar codes for almost every product they created, such as authenticating users, integrating Stripe and lemon squeeze pay with NextJS boilerplate, integrating AI tools, and sending emails quickly.
Then, when we realised that software developers could not market the products they created correctly, there was an ah ha moment for us. This is because we created the idea of a boilerplate that includes the integration of codes, through which software developers can save time and at the same time help them market the products they have created thanks to the right marketing guide. The lack of such a comprehensive NextJS boilerplate is one of our biggest inspirations in creating Next Starter AI.
How did you manage to balance your full-time job with developing NextStarterAI?
It was really quite challenging for me. Working in a 9-5 job, implementing your own side project is a process that requires a lot of time and effort. If you are creating your own project, you need to devote every minute left over from your full-time job to your side project. Most of the time, you have to take care of the project even while eating. I made the balance between them by separating the remaining time from my full-time job to Next Starter AI. Some entrepreneurs or developers may be able to negotiate with another developer for their side projects. This is also an option, but I didn’t choose this way because I wanted to create my own product myself.
What were the biggest challenges you faced developing NextStarterAI?
The biggest challenge we faced when creating Next Starter was time. If you work in a 9-5 job, time is really your biggest competitor. In addition, we also had to fight against prejudices formed against boilerplates. There are many boilerplates on the market today.
Although some of them really work, some of them were useless and were created just with the idea of making money. We had to make a lot of efforts to break this prejudice. I can say that these are the two main challenges that affect us the most.
Could you walk us through the user experience of setting up a SaaS or AI tool with NextStarterAI?
You just clone the NextJS boilerplate from GitHub and go to our document page. In just a few minutes, you can start setting up your project with ease. Our comprehensive documentation and intuitive setup process ensure you can focus on building your application without getting bogged down by tedious initial configurations.
What kind of feedback have you received from early users?
It is an extremely important development for us not to receive any negative feedback from our first users. Most of the feedback we received was about the need to shoot a promotional video so that Next Starter AI could be better understood. We also plan to take steps quickly in this regard.
What are the technical prerequisites for using NextStarterAI?
As explained in our guide, all you need is a Mac or Windows computer with Node.js installed. That’s it! With these straightforward prerequisites, you’ll be ready to start developing your project quickly and efficiently.
Who is your primary target audience for NextStarterAI?
The primary target audience of Next Starter AI is developers who work 9-5 jobs and are afraid of layoffs and therefore want to create their own side project. Also, developers and entrepreneurs who have created their products but have not achieved success in marketing are also included in our target audience.
After creating our product, we realised that startups can also benefit from this boilerplate and improve themselves. Therefore, we can say that the target audience of Next Starter AI is expanding every day.
Are there any specific strategies that you’ve found most effective in acquiring new customers?
We can say that the marketing guide we have created is a very effective strategy for acquiring new customers. We have proven that this guide is successful both in the marketing of our own product and in the marketing of other products.
In addition, the scope of social media content is also of great importance. Also, we should not ignore the impact of SEO blogs. The use of backlinks, social media content and SEO techniques together is of great importance in gaining new customers.
What was the initial investment required to start NextStarterAI?
Next Starter AI is a project funded entirely by three ambitious software engineers with their own resources. We wanted to share the tools we use when developing our own projects! Our dynamic team consists of five professionals, three talented developers and two experienced marketing specialists.
Each member of our developer team has extensive application development experience covering various aspects such as design, coding and implementation. Our collective expertise, which has a history of successful projects, allows us to offer innovative and high-quality solutions for the various needs of our customers.
In conjunction with our proficient developers, our two marketing specialists contribute strategic insights and industry know-how to the team. Their expertise enhances our approach to not only creating outstanding apps but also effectively positioning and promoting them in the market. Our team of five, with three developers and two marketers, excels in both technical and marketing aspects.
